SILICONE AND ELASTOMERIC COATINGS

Roof coating systems that help extend roof life and protect existing assemblies.

EXTEND THE LIFE OF A SOUND ROOF.

A silicone or elastomeric coating can add years to an existing roof that is dry, well attached, and structurally sound. It is a practical option when the membrane is aging but the assembly underneath is still doing its job.

We assess the roof first. If a coating is the right approach, the work is in the preparation: cleaning, repairs, seam and penetration treatment, and then coating applied at the specified thickness. If the roof is not a good candidate, we will tell you and explain the alternatives.

THE PROCESS

ROOF ASSESSMENT

We check for wet insulation, failed seams, ponding, and attachment problems to confirm the roof is a good candidate.

Questions

GOOD TO KNOW

Can every flat roof be coated?

No. A coating only works on a roof that is dry and sound underneath. Wet insulation or a failing membrane needs repair or replacement first. We inspect before recommending a coating.

Silicone or elastomeric — which one?

It depends on the existing roof, ponding conditions, and the owner's plans for the building. We explain the difference and recommend the system that fits.
